At Bennetts Designs, we believe our mission—to use our talents and skills to deliver the highest-quality reproduction of each customer’s request—is more than marketing language. It’s how we operate. We see work as a blessing and customers as a gift, and we aim for excellence, lean operations, and long-term financial health.

This Credit Terms Policy helps bring clarity to who qualifies for credit, how terms are granted, and the responsibilities on both sides.

1. Core Principle & Why This Exists

Over 20 years in business has taught us that processes that worked when we were small don’t always scale. To remain lean, efficient, and financially healthy, we’re clarifying the criteria for extending credit (Net 30) to customers. This ensures fairness, sustainability, and consistency.

2. New Customers (“First-Time” Accounts)

  • Any customer placing their first order with Bennetts Designs does not automatically qualify for Net 30 terms; payment at time of order is required.
  • Exceptions: Local, state, and federal government agencies; military branches; fire departments; schools; hospitals; and prisons. If such entities issue a valid Purchase Order, we may extend Net 30 terms—even as a first order. However, they retain the option to prepay with credit card.

3. Existing Customers (Credit Account Eligibility)

An existing customer (i.e. who has placed more than one order) may apply for a credit account (Net 30) if they satisfy all of the following:

  • They have one full calendar year of sales history with Bennetts Designs.
  • During that year, they placed at least 6 orders, with total purchased value exceeding $1,000.00.
  • They maintain a good payment history (i.e. timely payments, no habit of late payments, no delinquencies).

If the above criteria are met, and the credit application is approved, we may extend Net 30 terms with a credit limit up to $10,000.00 (unless other arrangements are agreed).

4. Terms, Limits & Review

  • Credit accounts granted under this policy will operate on Net 30 terms (i.e. invoices due 30 days after invoice date).
  • We reserve the right to set or adjust individual credit limits below $10,000 based on risk, order history, or business conditions.
  • We also retain the right to review, reduce, suspend, or revoke credit privileges if payment behavior deteriorates, business conditions change, or other risk factors emerge.

5. Accountability & Enforcement

  • If a credit account (Net 30) becomes delinquent, we may place a hold on new orders until past balances are cleared (see your Payment Policy).
  • If a customer repeatedly pays late (e.g. 5 or more days late consistently), we may downgrade the account to Due on Receipt permanently.
  • Accounts with extreme delinquency risks (e.g. multiple late payments, unresponsive communication) may be closed or handed to collections in compliance with law and our other policies.

6. Transparency & Communication

  • All credit approvals, limits, and changes will be documented in writing (e.g. via email or in your account documents).
  • If credit terms are adjusted, reduced, or revoked, the customer will receive reasonable notice (where practical) and rationale.
  • We aim for these policies to be predictable and transparent — because treating customers as a gift means being upfront, fair, and reliable.
